TERM 4
Students in grades 3&4 have made food pyramids.

Grades 1&2 students have created menus for their own Spanish restaurants!
We celebrated EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS and we learnt about the Mexican traditions typical from this day.
Grades 1/2 and 3/4 are learning about Spanish food this term.
Grades 5/6 are learning about occupations.
TERM 3
This term we are learning all about LOS JUEGOS OLIMPICOS.
We have started learning about all the countries around Brazil that speak Spanish.
LOS DEPORTES
We learnt about the Olympic mascots VINICIUS AND TOM.
We described them and then we created our own Olympic mascots.

Students in grades 5 & 6 chose their favourite athlete and write a paragraph describing them.
TERM 2
Nuestro proyecto final 1/2
In term 2 grades 1&2 have learnt to name objects that they use in the Spanish class and ask for them using 'por favor', 'gracias' and 'de nada'. For their final project they had to work with a partner to make this backpack and label all the items inside it.
Nuestro proyecto final 5/6
Students in grades 5/6 read an article about the 20 most beautiful towns in Spanish. Then, they had to choose one of those towns and make a poster using the iPad app 'Explain Everything'. Students had to provide useful information for potential tourists that visit their town. Have a look at some of the posters!
Nuestro proyecto final 3/4
Students in grades 3/4 have learnt
what Spanish cities look like and the different places you can visit in them.
They have also compared cities in Spanish speaking countries with Melbourne and found some
similarities as well as differences.As their final projects, students in
groups were asked to create a 3D model of a Spanish city. They had to make the
buildings, label them and write a paragraph describing their city.

This term we are learning about Celebrations in different Spanish speaking countries. We are having lots of fun learning about how different countries celebrate their culture.

In Foundation we have read the book THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR in Spanish LA ORUGA MUY HAMBRIENTA and we havev learnt the days of the week. fruits and colours in Spanish.
