SPANISH WRITING COMPETITION

Congratulations to Anshika Handa and Jamil Haddad for winning a prize in the Spanish Writing Competition. 16 different schools across Melbourne participated with more than 300 entries.

Anshika attended the Awards Ceremony with her family last Saturday. We had a great time!

BOLLO DE LA ABUELA

This week in the Spanish class we have cooked BOLLO DE LA ABUELA.
We have had lots of fun cooking and we loved the cake. 

Esta semana hemos cocinado BOLLO DE LA ABUELA. 

Nos lo hemos pasado muy bien cocinando y nos ha encantado el bollo.

 Estaba delicioso!

SPANISH FUN DAY AT AITKEN CREEK P.S

On Wednesday 2nd September Grades 5 and 6 students from Bethal visited Aitken Creek P.S. for a Spanish Day. Students have Skyped in the past as a way of introducing themselves. On the Spanish Day they had the opportunity to practice the language through various games and craft activities. The day culminated with some CHURROS Y CHOCOLATE. 

El pasado dos de septiembre visitamos Aitken Creek Primary School. Tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a estudiantes que aprenden español como nosotros. Lo pasamos muy bien en los diferentes talleres de juegos y manualidades. El dia termino con unos deliciosos CHURROS CON CHOCOLATE.

LA MALETA VIAJERA

Esta semana hemos viaja con los cursos 1 y 2 a diferentes paises de habla hispana con nuestra MALETA VIAJERA. Adivinas que objetos habia dentro de la maleta?

EL DIA DEL PIJAMA

A finales del trimestre 2 tuvimos EL DIA DEL PIJAMA. Vinimos al cole en pijama y donamos 1 dolar para ayudar a organizar mas eventos.

Ya que vinimos al cole en pijama, dormimos la SIESTA en la clase de espanol!!

At the end of last term we had PIJAMA DAY. As part of this day, we had to make a gold coin donation for the school.
Since we were in our pijamas, we had a SIESTA in the Spanish class!!!

We had a fantastic day!

23 de abril- DIA DEL LIBRO / 23rd April- BOOK DAY

This week in our Spanish classes we have learnt about EL DIA DEL LIBRO. We have enjoyed reading Spanish books.

Cocinando NACHOS/ MAKING NACHOS

This week we have cooked nachos with guacamole. They were delicious!

Dress-up Day/ Disfraces

El jueves 12 de marzo vinimos al cole disfrazados de nuestro personaje favorito.

Hubo muchos piratas,princesas,superheroes y futbolistas.

Mira qué bien lo pasamos!

Thursday the 12th of March was dress-up day. We came to school dressed up as our favourite character. There were many pirates, princesses, superheros and soccer players.

We had lots of fun!

Bienvenida Señorita Rosello / Welcome Señorita Rosello

Señorita Rosello is from Ibiza in Spain and she will be our Spanish Language Assistant this year. She will be in our Spanish and Spanish/Art classes helping us learning the language and teaching us interesting things about the Spanish culture.

Señorita Rosello viene de Ibiza en España y será nuestra asistente de conversación de español. Señorita Rosello estará en nuestras clases de español y español/arte para ayudarnos a aprender la lengua y enseñarnos cosas interesantes sobre su país.
