PICOS DE EUROPA NATIONAL PARK

Hello Friends from Bethal school!!

We would like to show you some pictures of our last trip. We visited The Picos de Europa National Park which is near Potes. we went up on the cablecar and went hiking all the way to Espinama. The koala came with us . We had a great day!

Nos gustaría mostraros algunas fotos de nuestra última excursión. visitamos el Parque Nacional de Los Picos de Europa que está cerca de Potes. Subimos en el Teleférico y fuimos andando hasta Espinama. El koala vino con nosotros. ¡Tuvimos un día genial!

Term 3

Dear friends from Concepción Arenal,

We hope you had a wonderful summer holidays. While you were enjoying the nice weather, we have been working hard and having some fun at the same time.  In term 3, we have celebrated Science Week, Crazy Hair Day and we have had a whole school soccer competition. We have also had a visiting Spanish teacher from a school in Madrid as part of an exchange program organised by the Department of Education.  We want to show you some pictures of these activities . We hope you like them.

Queridos amigos de Concepción Arenal:

Esperamos que hayáis tenido unas FANTÁSTICAS vacaciones de verano. Mientras vosotros disfrutabais del buen tiempo, nosotros hemos trabajado mucho aunque también nos lo hemos pasado muy bien. Durante este trimestre hemos celebrado la semana de las ciencias , hemos venido a clase con pelucas muy originales y hemos tenido una competición de fútbol. También hemos recibido la visita de un profesor de un colegio de Madrid, a través de un programa de intercambio organizado por el Departamento de Educación. Queremos enseñaros alguna de las fotos de todas estas actividades.  Esperamos que os gusten.

Tenemos muchas ganas de seguir trabajando con vosotros este nuevo curso.

Spain and Australia, are we that different?

Dear friends from Concepción Arenal:

In term 2 we have learnt about the differences and similarities between our community and the community of your school in Spain. We have learnt a lot of new vocabulary in Spanish and we have investigated the question, ‘Australia and Spain, are we that different?’ We would like to share our work with you.

Queridos amigos:

Durante nuestro segundo trimestre de español hemos visto algunas de las diferencias y similitudes entre Australia y España. Nos hemos concentrado en las cosas que tenemos alrededor de nuestro colegio y las hemos comparado con vuestro colegio.  Hemos investigado la pregunta  ‘¿somos tan diferentes?’  y hemos descubierto que a pesar de la distancia entre ambos países, tenemos muchas cosas similares.  Queremos mostraros algunos de los trabajos que hemos hecho.

Pelusín está en Australia :)

Last month children from Bethal Primary School sent letters, pictures, posters and a koala bear as a symbol of Australia, to our sister school in Spain. We are so excited as we have just received a package from Spain. The sister school sent maps and tourist information of Spain, students’ work and a teddy bear named Pelusín. In a letter they wrote, they explained that in the mountains around the sister school there are many brown bears so they decided to send a teddy as a symbol of their school. We really enjoyed reading their letters and the work they prepared for us.

A VISIT TO THE MARKET. UNA VISITA AL MERCADO.

THE YEAR 1 AND 2 PUPILS VISITED THE POTES MARKET TO BUY SOME FRUIT. WE BOUGHT APPLES, PEACHES, MELON, WATERMELON, CHERRIES, NECTARINES,... WE MADE DELICIOUS FRUIT KEBABS WITH ALL THE FRUIT AND WE COVERED THEM IN CHOCOLATE.

THEY WERE DELICIOUS!

LOS ALUMNOS Y ALUMNAS DE 1º Y 2º HEMOS VISITADO EL MERCADO DE POTES PARA COMPRAR FRUTA VARIADA. HEMOS COMPRADO MANZANAS, MELOCOTONES, SANDÍA, CEREZAS, NECTARINAS,... Y CON TODA LA FRUTA HEMOS HECHO UNAS RICAS BROCHETAS QUE HEMOS BAÑADO EN CHOCOLATE,

¡ESTABAN DELICIOSAS!
